ایران: عضو کانون نویسندگان ایران دستگیر شدند
کمیته نویسندگان زندانی انجمن جهانی قلم، اعتراض خود را نسبت به حکم یک سال
زندانی شدن مترجم و فعال حقوق زنان، منیژه نجم عراقی) و هم چنین (نویسنده و
کارشناس اقتصادی، فریبرز رئیس دانا)، دو عضو کانون نویسندگان ایران که به
ترتیب از تاریخ سوم ژوئن 2012 و 21 ماه می در زندان بسر می برند، را ابراز
می دارد. انجمن قلم، این حکم را در مورد این دو نویسنده، مغایر و تجاوز به
ماده 19 معاهده بین المللی حقوق مدنی و حقوق سیاسی که ایران خود نیز یکی از
امضاء کنندگان آن می باشد، می داند و آزادی بی قید و شرط آنان را خواهان
است.
بنا به اطلاع انجمن جهانی قلم، مترجم و منشی کانون نویسندگان ایران، منیژه
نجم عراقی، در تاریخ سوم ژوئن امسال توسط پلیس امنیتى دستگیر شده و به یک
سال زندان محکوم و به زندان اوین منتقل شده است. وی به خاطر عضویت و ارسال
بیانیه های کانون نویسندگان و شرکت درتجمعات صلح آمیز مجرم شناخته شده است.
نجم عراقی یک بار در تاریخ 16 اکتبر 2010 دستگیر و بعد از سه روزآزاد گردید.
نجم عراقی، یکی از مترجمان برجسته زبان انگلیسی و فارسی می باشد و کارشناس
متون حقوق زنان است. وی، از سال 1990 بطور منظم کتاب ها و مقالات مختلفی را
ترجمه کرده، و از جمله کارهای ترجمه او مقدمه ای بر علم جامعه شناسی: دیگاه
های فمینیستی اثر «پاملا اببوُت و کلیر والاس» (چاپ اول 2001 و چاپ آخر2011
)، افکار فمینیستی: شناخت مقدماتی اثر رُزماری تانگ، و کار اخیر او
کاپیتالیسم، خانواده و زندگانی شخصی نوشته الی زارتسکی می باشد .وی، دو
کتاب دیگر در از جولیت میتچلز (روانکاوی و فمینیسم (وویرجینیا وُلف (سه
گینی )در مرحله چاپ دارد.
در روز 21 ماه می 2012، فریبرز رئیس دانا، اقتصاددان برجسته و عضو هیئت
دبیران کانون نویسندگان ایران، به زندان اوین احضار گشته و به یک سال حبس
محکوم می شود .او در 19 دسامبر2010 بلافاصله بعد از مصاحبه ای با جراید
خارجی پس از انتقاد از اجرای طرح سیاست اقتصادی احمدی نژاد بازداشت شد و در
دادگاه انقلاب، به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.» عضویت در کانون نویسندگان،
تهیه اطلاعیه فتنه برانگیز بر ضد رژیم، مصاحبه با رسانه های بی بی سی و
صدای آمریکا، متهم کردن جمهوری اسلامی به آزار و تجاوز و شکنجه زندانيان و
فرمايشی قلمداد کردن دادگاه های جمهوری اسلامی ايران از «اتهامات» این
نویسنده عضو کانون نویسندگان است.
دکتر رئیس دانا، از روشنفکران برجسته و اصلاح طلب می باشد. وی، چهره ای
شناخته شده به خاطر انتقادهای صریح از سیاست های اقتصادی و اجتماعی دولت
ایران می باشد. او مکررا توسط سرویس های امنیتی مورد آزار و اذیت قرارگرفته
است. رئیس دانا، عضو هیئت دبیران کانون نویسندگان ایران می باشد و کتاب های
ومقلات متعددی در باره سیاست اقتصادی و جامعه نگاشته از جمله: توسعه اقتصاد
کاربردی، پول و تورم ، سیاست اقتصادی توسعه و جهانی شدن.
کانون نویسندگان ایران بیش از چهار دهه است که برای احقاق حقوق نویسندگان
در تلاش است، و در سال های اخیر تحت فشارهای فزاینده ای ازسوی دولت ایران
می باشد.
خواهشمند است در بیانیه های خود، موارد زیر را درخواست کنید:
- به بازداشت نویسندگان؛ منیژه نجم عراقی و فریبرز رئیس دانا اعتراض کنید
که به خاطر عضویت در کانون نویسندگان ایران محکوم شده اند.
- خواستار آزادی فوری و بی قید و شرط این دو زندانی مطابق با ماده 19
معاهده بین المللی حقوق مدنی و سیاسی باشید که ایران نیز خود یکی از امضاء
کنندگان آن است.
- تضمین دسترسی خانواده آن ها به زندانیان و هم چنین دسترسی به وکیل و
مراقبت های پزشکی در زندان.
* توضیح: کانون نویسندگان ایران در تبعید، در ادامه کمپین خود برای آزادی
زندانیان سیاسی و آزادی دو عضو دستگیرشده کانون نویسندگان ایران، از پن
جهانی نیز درخواست کرده بود که برای آزادی زندانیان سیاسی، از جمله برای
آزادی دو عضو زندانی کانون نویسندگان ایران بکوشد. اکنون پن جهانی از کلیه
اعضای خود در جهان خواسته است که در این مورد اقدامات و ابتکارات خود را به
کار گیرند.

IRAN: Two members of the Iranian Writers Association arrested.
PEN International’s Writers in Prison Committee protests the one-year
prison sentences handed down to translator and women’s rights activist
Manijeh Najm Eraghi (aka Araghi) and economist and writer Fariborz Rais
Dana, who were detained on 3 June 2012 and 21 May 2012 respectively for
their membership of the Iranian Writers Association (IWA). PEN considers
both writers to be held in violation of Article 19 of the International
Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Iran is a signatory,
and calls for their immediate and unconditional release.
According to PEN’s information, translator and secretary for the IWA
Manijeh Najm Eraghi was arrested on 3 June 2012 after being summoned by
Tehran’s State Security police, and transferred to Evin Prison to serve
out a one-year prison sentence. She is charged with membership of the
IWA, transmitting the association’s statements and participating in
peaceful gatherings. Najm Eraghi was first arrested on 16 October 2010
and released on bail after three days.
Manijeh Najm Eraghi is a leading translator from English to Farsi,
specializing in books on women’s rights. She has been translating books
and articles regularly since the early 1990’s, and her publications
include An Introduction to Sociology: Feminist Perspectives by Pamela
Abbott and Claire Wallace (first edition 2001, latest edition 2011),
Feminist Thought: A Comprehensive Introduction by Rosemarie Tong, and
most recently Capitalism, the Family and Personal Life by Eli Zaretsky.
She has two further publications forthcoming, of Juliet Mitchell’s
Psychoanalysis and Feminism and Virginia Woolf’s Three Guineas.
On 21 May 2012, Fariborz Rais Dana, a leading economist and member of
the IWA, was summoned to Tehran’s Evin Prison to serve out a one year
jail term. He had been arrested on 19 December 2010 after giving
interviews to the foreign media critical of President Ahmadinejad’s
economic policies. He was held for one month before being released on
bail. He was later sentenced to one year in prison for a series of
charges including “membership of the Iranian Writer’s Association,
preparing seditious announcements against the regime, giving interviews
to BBC and Voice of America, and accusing the Islamic Republic of
abusing prisoners and holding show trials.”
Dr. Raisdana is a leading intellectual and reformist known for his
outspoken criticism of the Iranian government's economic and social
policies, and has been subject to repeated harassment by the security
services. Raisdana is a member of the Board of the IWA, and has
published numerous books and articles on political economy and sociology,
including Applied Development Economics, Money and Inflation, Political
Economy of Development, and Globalization. For an interview with

The IWA has been working for the rights of writers for over four decades,
and has been under increasing pressure from the government in recent
years.

§ Calling for their immediate and unconditional release in accordance
